Thank You, SMU

This week marked the end of my three-year term on the Advisory Board of the Cary M. Maguire Center for Ethics and Public Responsibility at SMU.

It’s hard to believe that I’ve now been connected to the SMU community for a decade. Along the way, I’ve had the privilege of teaching in the Graduate Liberal Studies program, working with the Human Rights Department, advising law students, serving on PhD committees, and guest lecturing in theology classes. Each of those roles gave me the chance to learn as much as I taught, and to build lasting relationships that I will always deeply treasure.

All good things eventually come to an end, but I leave this chapter with nothing but gratitude for my colleagues, my students, and all the moments of growth and inspiration we’ve shared.

Thank you SMU for such a wonderful opportunity. I plan to still be around where I can, and will carry what I’ve learned from you wherever I go.
